Tamil writter M L Thangappa passes away

Puducherry, May 31 (UNI) Two time Sahithya Accadamy Award Winner Tamil writer M Lenin Thangappa passed away at the age of 84 on Thursday.
Thangappa who, won the Sahithya Accadamy Award twice was born in Tirunelveli district of Tamilnadu. He worked as a professor at the Tagore Arts College and Bharathidasan Government college for women. He wrote more than 50 books.
Thangappa had translated the poems of Bharathi,Aravindar and Bharathidasan into English.
His body was kept at his residence at Avvai nagar here for public homage and would be donated to the Jipmer hospital this evening.
