Subsidy on food at Parliament canteen to end

New Delhi, Dec 5 (UNI) Subsidy on the food sold in the Parliament canteen will no longer be available from next session of Parliament with Members of Parliament unanimously deciding to forego the subsidy availed by them at the Parliament canteen, sources said on Thursday.
The sources said that the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Lok Sabha decided to do away with food subsidy at Parliament canteen after a suggestion from Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Food in the Parliament canteen will now be sold at actual cost.
