Solar eclipse witnessed in Pondy

Puducherry, Dec 26 (UNI) A large number of people on Thursday witnessed the partial solar eclipse here.

They thronged the Puducherry beach were the Pondicherry Science Forum has made special arrangements to witness the celestial event.

Apart from the beach the forum has made special arrangements at 42 other areas here.

Meanwhile, all the temples here remained closed in view of the solar eclipse. While, some remained closed since last night, some others opened in the early hours and closed after a special pooja before the starting of the solar eclipse.
