Shubhankar, Gaganjeet to lead Indian challenge at KLM Open 2019

Shubhankar, Gaganjeet to lead Indian challenge at KLM Open 2019

New Delhi, Sept 11 (UNI) India's ace golfers Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar will spearhead Indian challenge at the €2,000,000, KLM Open 2019, starting September 12.

The European Tour event will be taking place for the first time at the International golf course in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Shubhankar Sharma rallied against adverse weather conditions to finish at the 148th Open Championship at Portrush, Northern Ireland and finished at a respectable T51. He will be looking to build on his momentum when he makes the trip to the Netherlands.

On the other hand, Gaganjeet Bhullar will be looking to bounce back from his previous disappointing outing, when he finished at T127 at the Omega European Masters.

They will be joined by defending champion Wu Ashun, looking to make it two in a row. Last year’s runner-up, Chris Wood will be looking to go the distance this time around, following a considerable period on the sidelines.

England’s Sam Horsfield has bagged two top 10s in his last four starts, and will definitely be a contender at the KLM Open 2019.

The coveted KLM Open will be broadcast LIVE on DSPORT in India.
