Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) Severe heatwave condition continued to sweep Vidarbha, Khandesh and Marathwada region in Maharashtra for the last one week with highest 46.4 Degree Celsius temperature recorded in Chandrapur.
According to Weather Office, temperature had significantly increased in Vidharba, Marathwada and Khandesh region for the last couple of days and it would be continue for next two days.
Highest temperature of 46.4 Degree Celsius was registered in Chandrapur, 46 Degree Celsius in Brahmpuri, 45.2 degrees Celsius in Nagpur, 44.7 each in Akolo and Parbhani, 44 degree in Yawatmal, 43.8 degree in Amravati, 43.5 degree in Solapur, 43.4 degree in Jalgaon, 41.5 each degree Buldhana and Aurangabad, 33.8 degree in Mumbai and 33.2 degree in Mahabaleshwar.
Normal life was affected due to rising heat in many districts in Vidharba region as well as North Maharashtra and Marathawada region in the state.
To avoid heat, Health Department has advised people not to come out during the peak hours of heat, use cotton clothes and drinks more water.
