Scientists working on 'eraser' to delete bad memories

Bern, June 15 (UNI) Those having nightmares about a traumatic experience, which took place a long while ago, can take heart, as scientists the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland have located the set of neurons in brain, which store such memories.
According to EPFL Professor Johannes Gräff, who conducted the study, memories of traumatic experiences can lead to mental health issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which can destroy a person's life.
It is currently estimated that almost a third of all people will suffer from fear- or stress-related disorders at one point in their lives.
