Sadanand Kumar from CCL operated Sports Academy wins Gold in Khelo India

Ranchi, Jan 14 (UNI) Sadanand Kumar made a name for the state in the second Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) being held at Sarju Saray Stadium, Guwahati, Assam as he bagged gold in 100 meters in U-17 category by recording a timing of 10.95 second.
Sadanand added another feather to his cap as he was part of of relay team in 100 meters which won the bronze medal in the event.
"Heartiest Congratulation to our Golden Boy. This exceptional achievement of Sadanand at Khelo India Youth Games is beautiful new year present for state and CCL, both. His performance reflects the world class training given at the Sports Academy. We are committed to continue working for growth and development of Sports in the country," said CMD CCL Gopal Singh.
A statement issued by the company here said that the golden feat is Jharkhand’s contribution in the ‘Khelo India Mission’ to establish India as a sporting superpower. This achievement of Sadanand along with those of Florence Barla, another star from Sports Academy, are the signs of Jharkhand’s knock on the Athletics map of the India.
Sadanand was selected in the academy under U-14 category and hails from Hazaribagh district. He got his initial training from Captain Mathews and thereafter he is being trained under the guidance of Captain Sanjay Ghosh and Ashu Bhatia at the academy.
