Mumbai, Dec 10 (UNI) The Rupee on Monday tumbled down by 54 paise to
71.34, a three-week-low against the greenback on rising demand for
US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at Forex Market said.
The day started on a negative note, as the domestic unit tumbled
down by 53 paise to 71.33 in early trade.
During the day it was slid by 65 days to 71.45 days low, finally
it was settled at 71.34, down by 54 paise from its last close.
It recorded day low and high at 71.45 and 71.22, respectively.
Strong dollar against other world currencies and sliding
equity market pushed the Indian currency down, they added.
