Rain god leaving MP

Bhopal, Oct 10 (UNI) The southwest monsoon – which caused record precipitation in Madhya Pradesh and consequent floods in some places – is finally bidding adieu to the state.
“It departed from Gwalior, Bhind and Morena on Thursday and rainfall was not reported from anywhere until this evening. In the next 48 hours, it is likely to leave this City of Lakes and then the entire state itself in three to four days. The monsoon broke over Madhya Pradesh on June 28. Until September 30, the state capital experienced a never-before figure of 1,756.5 mm rain, which was 669.9 mm above normal. In the next 24 hours, most areas of the state are likely to experience dry weather,” senior meteorologist PK Saha told UNI here.
