Rahul Gandhi criticises PM Modi in Nanded rally

Nanded, Apr 15 (UNI) Criticising the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought economy of the country to a halt after the demonetisation and GST.
Addressing a public meeting for the party's candidates Ashok Chavan (Nanded parliamentary constituency), Subhash Wankhede (Hingoli) and Machindra Kamat (Latur) at new Mondha area of the city this evening, he said that the Prime Minister could not answer to his questions in parliament by looking into the eyes of the opposition members because he had 'deceived' the nation.
"By granting the amount to troubled industrialist Anil Ambani for making Rafale aircrafts, Mr Modi has caused a loss of Rs 30,000 crore to the nation," Mr Gandhi alleged.
Continuing his attack on the PM, the Congress chief further added that Mr Ambani's company was given the contract to make the fighter jets despite not having any experience instead of giving it to the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, a government-owned company.
He further said that when a common man could not pay a debt of Rs 20,000 he is arrested but no action was taken against big persons. Mr Gandhi alleged that demonetisation had increased the unemployement and ruined the economy.

Claiming that there are now two kinds of budgets -one, the general budget and another for rich persons- the Congress chief said that if voted to power, they would start two different budgets -one will be the general and another for farmers.
Mr Gandhi said that he wanted to remove fear from the life of the farmers.
Explaining the model of ‘Nyay Yojna’, he said, "When we grant Rs 6,000 per month to the poor people, they will start purchasing and as a result, the factories will restart and employment will generate.
He assured to fill the vacant posts in the government within a year of assuming the office.
