Puducherry, Sep 8 (UNI) Pondicherry University have instituted a cash award for outstanding teachers.
Vice-Chancellor Prof.Gurmeet Singh announced this while addressing the teachers day celebrations at the university on Friday, according to a university release on Saturday.
He said as a token of respect and recognition to Teachers Community, in future, outstanding Professors selected for First Prize will be honored with a cash prize of Rs One Lakh and Second Prize Rs 50,000 and Third Prize Rs 25,000.
