Police seize huge consignment of country and foreign liquor

Begusarai, Oct 11 (UNI) Police seized huge consignment of country and foreign liquor and arrested a peddler under Mufassil
police station area in the district today.
Police said here that huge quantity of country liquor kept in 20 gunny bags were recovered from a pick up van at Bandwar village under
Mufassil police station area on the basis of specific intelligence input. Sources said the consignment was concealed beneath bundles of
cotton.
Police said that a peddler was arrested from the pick-up van even as its driver made good escape from the spot.
In another recovery, police seized five cartons of foreign liquor from a house at Basudeopur village under the same police station area.
Peddlers made good their escape from the spot after they got inkling of police raid, sources added.
