India


PM to interact with chief ministers of various states on June 16 &17

New Delhi, Jun 12 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold an interaction, through video conferencing, with chief ministers of various states on June 16 and 17 on the COVID situation in the country, the Prime Minister's office said on Friday.
The interaction of the PM with the chief ministers, his sixth interaction with the state chief ministers since lockdown was enforced in the country on March 25, will take place over a period of two days.
While on June 16, the PM will interact with chief ministers of 21 states and Union Territories, including Punjabi, Kerala and Uttarakhand, on June 17, the PM will hold an interaction with chief ministers of 15 states and Union Territories, including Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
The fresh round of interaction with the chief ministers is taking place at a time when the country is emerging out of the lockdown even as number of cases of Corona virus infection have witnessed a sharp rise over the last week.
The number of COVID cases in the country on Friday neared the 3-lakh mark.
