Party leaders should avoid making such statements: Cong on Salman Khurshid

New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) Taking a strong view of the remarks made by senior leader Salman Khurshid, Congress on Wednesday said that party leaders should desist from making such statements and concentrate on the coming Assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra.

Talking to reporters here, AICC spokesperson Pawan khera said,’’such comments should not be mader by any leader. Instead, we should concentrating on exposing the weaknesses of the BJP.’’

He said that party was currently concentrating on the assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra and showing the BJP its true face..

‘’The party has bene earlier too exposing the weaknesses of the BJP and in future too all of us should focus on going this,’’he said.

In his comments, Salman Khurshid had said that the timing of the resignation of Rahul Gandhi was not right. He said that a lot of efforts were made to make him change his mind but he stuck to his decision.

‘’Instead of quitting, it would have been better if Mr Gandhi had introspected on the reasons for the party’s poor show,’’Mr Khurshid said.
