Over 500 foreign delegates to participate in Vibrant Goa expo

Panaji, Oct 16 (UNI) Vibrant Goa Global Expo, a three-day event which kick-starts from Thursday here, will see participation of more than 500 foreign delegates.
Speaking to reporters, President of the event Rajkumar Kamat said the prime focus of the mega event was inclusive development in areas like innovation, sustainability, industries, technology, youth and skill development, knowledge sharing and networking.
He said objective of the event was to open windows of opportunities for local business community of the state.
The local business community would get an opportunity to interact with
over 2000 domestic delegates and more than 500 foreign delegates, he said, adding the event would project the coastal state as an investment destination.
Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) President Manoj Caculo said attempt would be made to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with at least three countries.
The event would feature 25 knowledge series with 86 speakers taking part in them.
Meanwhile, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has urged all Goans to participate wholeheartedly in the event.
Speaking to media persons at the S P Mukherjee stadium, the venue of the mega event in the city on Tuesday, Dr Sawant had said that the Vibrant Goa summit was a realisation of the late chief minister Manohar Parrikar’s dream of organising an international business summit to attract investment and business to the state of Goa.
According to the Chief Minister, Goa and Goans stood to benefit from the presence of over 500 international delegates and over 2,000 national and local delegates attending the event.
“There is a distinct promise of investment and trade partnerships taking place. We Goans must make the most of this opportunity,'' he had said.
