Outsourcing staff nurses stage dharna seeking regularization

Kakinada, Jul 10 (UNI) A group of contract staff nurses working in medical and health department and also on outsourcing basis have staged a dharna in front of the office of the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) here on Tuesday demanding regularization of their services .

G Bhavani State General Secretary of the A.P. state contract and outsourcing staff nurses union has led the
dharna.

They raised slogans demanding sanction of 180 days maternity leave with full salary, 35 days casual leave and implementation of Supreme Court order on payment of equal pay for equal work.

Later a delegation consisting of Bhavani, District Union President U Achyuthavalli, CITU District Unit Vice
President K Vijayasanthi have called on the Administrative Officer B. Sumati and presented a representation
listing out their charter of demands.

COVID-19: J&K reports 490 fresh cases, tally rises to 12156

Jammu, Jul 16 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday informed that 490 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus, (62 from Jammu division and 428 from Kashmir division), have been reported taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 12156.
