Opposition leader Jairam Thakur targets Sukhu govt over 'suitcase' allegations, law and order

Dharamshala, July 9 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur launched a sharp attack on the state government, demanding that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu clarify allegations made by a senior Congress leader regarding a "suitcase" issue instead of making "irrelevant political statements."
Speaking to reporters in Dharamshala on Wednesday during the Deendayal Upadhyay Mahaprashikshan Abhiyan, Thakur alleged that the Chief Minister should answer claims made by a leader from his own party about a Kangra-based Congress leader allegedly collecting and transporting suitcases to Delhi. He said the allegations were made by a senior Congress functionary and not by the BJP, and urged the Chief Minister to present the facts before the people.
The BJP leader also accused the Congress government of stalling development projects initiated during the previous BJP regime, particularly in Kangra district.
