Odisha: Man sentenced to ten years RI for raping a minor girl

Puri (Odisha), Apr 13 (UNI) Puri Additional Sessions Judge Ramanath Panda on Friday sentenced a man to ten year Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) with a fine of Rs. 20,000 for raping a minor girl.
According to the Prosecution, one Akshyaya Kumar Parida (42) of Gunduchipatana village under the Delang police station limits had abducted a minor girl in November 2013 to a nearby bush while she was on her way to attend tuition and raped her.
He left the girl threatening her not to disclose anything about the incident or else he will kill her.
