OBF launches one stop plaftform for elderly people

Hyderabad, Apr 19 (UNI) One Big Family (OBF) (www.obfapp.com) , an initiative by Weseo Technologies Private Limited has launched one stop platform for elderly people here on Friday.
Claiming that OBF is India’s first elderly-care platform, the company also offered some incentives during the inaugural offer ending June 30.
Mr Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments of the Telangana government who launched the App congratulated the authorities for introducing one stop platform for elderly people.
Suggesting to linkup with the NGOs like HelpAge India, Aashara and among others who are familiar in the services of elders, Mr Ranjan asked the authorities to improve its services by taking feedback from the clients and to achieve success unlike those who had unsuccessful .
OBF, Founder and CEO Satish Chandran said “ From payment of bills to emergency services, along with premium services like concierge, shopping, regular medical care services, OBF is the one-stop online application that provides access to all needs for the elderly citizen through their smartphones and enables them to connect with their loved ones spread across the globe”.
Mr Satish said that OBF services are currently available in Hyderabad and would spread its wings to Bangalore, Mumbai , Kerala in the next four to six months. Later the platform will be expanded to international level.
Speaking on revenue model, Mr Satish said that the company was extending its services to the people after tied up with the service providers like Ube (for transport), Zylo (Medical). Some services were being extended by the company itsself by fixing some packages.
The company would collect some commissions from the service providers without any burden to the clients, he said.
Stating that the company had raised USD 400,000 so far, Mr Satish said the company has tied up with 12-13 services providers at present. Some more integrations are pipeline, he added.
OBF Chairman and Managing Director Madhav Reddy Yatham, “One Big Family enables citizens to remotely activate and facilitate various services on offer for their parents thereby helping them in all their needs even when elders are geographically away or economically dependent on them. Elders can also use the app for themselves if they so wish to,” he said.
