No Congress, Allies ruled state able to cross 90% coverage of single-dose immunisation: sources

New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) Congress or its allied ruled states have failed to accelerate the immunisation programme against COVID-19, official sources said on Monday.
The sources revealed that no Congress or its allied ruled states have so far been able to provide the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to more than 90 per cent of the eligible population including Jharkhand where only 66 per cent of adults have received the first shot.
Besides, the coverage of the second dose remains poor as well with less than 50 per cent of first dose recipients in these states have got their second shot, the sources added.
