Night temperatures above normal at many places over east Uttar  Pradesh

Pune, Feb 5 (UNI) Night temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at many places over east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Odisha; at a few places over Chhattisgarh, Bihar; at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, west Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Marathwada; at many places over Uttarakhand, west Uttar Pradesh; at a few places over Assam and Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana.

These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka and near normal over rest parts of the country.

On Wednesday, the lowest minimum temperature of 4.2°C is reported at Bathinda and Faridkot (Punjab) over the plains of the country.



Dense to very dense fog conditions (visibility < 50 m) were reported in isolated pockets of Meghalaya and dense fog (visibility 50-199 m) was reported in some pockets of coastal Odisha.



Visibility reported (upto 0830 hours IST of today) (≤200 m): Meghalaya: Barapani -25; Odisha: Bhubaneswar -150, Balasore -150.



Hailstorm was reported at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh.



Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, east Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh.

Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
