Nagaland registers of 122 111 Ayushman Bharat e-card

Kohima, Aug 9 (UNI) Nagaland Health & family Welfare Minister S. Pangyuh Phom
has informed the Nagaland Assembly members that 122,111 e-Cards have been
issued under Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Nagaland after verification as on July 31,
2019.
Replying this to MLA Yitachu in un-starred question on the floor of the House on
Tuesday, Phom stated that 52, 166 families have been issued with e-Card as on
July 31, 2019.
He stated that that families figuring in the socio-economic & caste census 2011 and
RSBY (2016/17) card holders are eligible under the scheme, where Nagaland has
been identified target beneficiary list of 2.33 lakh families.
The Minister stated that out of Rs 1.80 crore hospital claims submitted by various
hospitals for providing free services to beneficiaries, Rs. 1.50 crore have been paid to
the hospitals as on July 31 2019.

FIR filed against journalist in Meghalaya

Shillong, Jul 6 (UNI) A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against senior journalist Padmashree Patricia Mukhim on charges of “inciting communal tension” after six non-tribal boys were assaulted by iron-rods and sticks at the basketball court in Lawsohtun Block-6 here in Meghalaya on July 3, by “masked miscreants”.
