Nadal targets at playing a good tournament at Monte-Carlo Masters

Paris, Apr 16 (Xinhua) Spanish tennis ace Rafael Nadal stayed humble when talking about contending for record-extending 12th title at the ATP Monte-Carlo Masters, just hoping that he can play a good tournament in Monte-Carlo.
Nadal will meet his compatriot Roberto Bautista Agut in the second round on Wednesday, the first match following his withdrawal from the BNP Paribas Open last month.
"I've been through a difficult year. It's tough to have a clear view about how I am," said the second-seeded Spaniard.
"It's important for me to have a good practice tomorrow before the tournament starts and then try to be competitive for the first round," Nadal pointed out, adding that the match against Agut "is gonna be a tough one".
"Let's see. My goal is to play a good tournament here in Monte-Carlo," he said.
For top seed Novak Djokovic, who resides in Monte-Carlo, it just feels like playing the competition at home.
"I live here, and I love playing at home," said the Serbian.
"The Monte-Carlo Country Club has been my training base for 15 years. I know all the people who work here. It's a unique feeling," he added.
The Monte-Carlo Masters, one of ATP 1000 tournaments on clay, is underway until Sunday.
