Muslim plaintiff write to Sri Sri to solve Ayodhya issue

Ayodhya, Nov 12 (UNI) Amid the cacophony of Ram temple construction efforts are being made to settle the issue out of court as the Muslim plaintiff in this case Haji Mehboob has written a letter to the spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar regarding this.
An emissary of Sri Sri, Gautam Vig met Haji Mehboob here on Monday and conveyed the feeling of Art of Living leader about solving the Ram Mandir issue out of court. In the evening Haji Mehboob wrote a letter to Sri Sri showing his willingness to resolve the issue but with some riders.
What exactly is written in the letter is not known but it is believed that Muslim plaintiff has shown his willingness to solve this vex issue out of court. Another plaintiff Iqbal Hashim too had shown is willingness to solve the issue out of court. He is on record in saying that if outsiders leave Ayodhya the residents of this city will solve it ourselves.
The AOL Founder is voluntarily mediating to help warring parties settle the dispute amicably. Last year in mid of November he went to Ayodhya and had meeting with the Sadhus. He also met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath before visiting Ayodhya.
After the meeting he was of the view that majority of Muslims are not opposed to the idea of building a Ram temple at the disputed site. “I know some may not agree with this, but Muslims by and large are not opposing the Ram temple,” Sri Sri Ravi Shankar told reporters on November 16 in Ayodhya.
The VHP is however opposed to any move of AOL founder to solve the issue through mutual consent. “Sri Sri is not a party to this issue. How can he solve the problem unilaterally? This issue can only be solved by the court or through legislation,” VHP spokesman Sharad Sharma said.

Sehore, MP, Jan 28 (UNI) A youngster died on the spot and his sibling was severely injured when their motorcycle was dashed head on by a pickup vehicle near Nipaniya Mod village on Tuesday evening, law-enforcement authorities said.
Chainpura Jhagriya village’s Ravi Malviya was returning home with Ashok when the incident occurred. The pickup consequently veered off the road, came to a halt at a farm and its driver absconded. Ravi perished whereas his brother is battling for life at a hospital.

Chhindwara, MP, Jan 28 (UNI) Two teenagers died as a consequence of their motorcycle being rammed from the rear by a hitherto-unidentified vehicle in the vicinity of this district headquarters on Tuesday, law-enforcement authorities said.
Jamunia Pathar-residents Sagar and Kuldeep Nagwanshi were heading for Amarwara when the incident occurred. The duo succumbed while being rushed to an infirmary.

Dentist kills self

Sehore, MP, Jan 28 (UNI) A dentist has committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance at his Chanakyapuri Colony dwelling here, law-enforcement authorities said.
Amit Verma, who had a clinic in Ganga Ashram locality, took the extreme step late Monday. The motive is unclear. He was rushed to the District infirmary from where he was referred to Bhopal and succumbed on Tuesday.

MPHC applies brakes on OBC quota

Jabalpur, MP, Jan 28 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Tuesday ruled that reservation for the Other Backward Classes would not exceed 14 per cent vis-a-vis the state Public Service Commission’s examination for selecting officials for 400 posts in various departments.
Chief Justice AK Mittal and Justice VK Shukla were hearing approximately a dozen petitions vis-a-vis the state dispensation raising the OBC quota to 27 per cent besides reservation for economically weaker sections. The next hearing is scheduled on February 12.
