MP all set to give fillip to adventure tourism

Bhopal, Dec 4 (UNI) An international event focussing on adventure travel commenced at the Madhya Pradesh capital's International Convention Centre on Tuesday.
“The extraordinary variety of adventure travel that the state offers is worth experiencing. We are honoured and proud to present to the world 'Adventure Next' that encompasses India’s religious heritage, mythological, historical, wildlife and exquisite architectural spots clubbed with physical activities and journals for those in attendance. This is just the beginning as the Adventure Travel Trade Association also plans to introduce more tours panning across unexplored destinations of India,” ATTA Chief Executive Officer Shannon Stowell told the press.
The inaugural day was attended by hundreds including global buyers, international / national media representatives, sellers, office-bearers of the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India and hotels, hospitality and tour operators who came to expand their knowledge spectrum and itinerary offerings.
"Madhya Pradesh was selected as the venue for Adventure Next because the state has beautiful architecture, historical places, mythological trails and unexplored spots," Principal Secretary (Tourism) and Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board Managing Director Hari Ranjan Rao told journalists.
