Chandigarh/New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) Congress MP from Jalandhar Santokh Singh Chaudhary on Tuesday hit out at Narendra Modi-led Central Government for 'assault' on democratic values and following unconstitutional ways to grab power.
'The Constituent Assembly, led by Dr Ambedkar ji, gave the people of India a transformative document in the form of Constitution. It is our holy book and the very foundation of Indian democracy. But Modi Government, blinded by its lust for power, is acting in complete disregard to constitutional conventions and procedures,' he said in the National Capital.
In a sharp critique of the government, Mr Chaudhary remarked that in last six years, there has been an unprecedented assault on India’s social fabric with alarming rise in communal polarization and hatred, a press release in Chandigarh stated.
