MNS distributes seeds of different fruits & vegetables in Thane

Thane, Jul 12 (UNI) The Thane unit of the Raj Thackeray lead MNS on Friday distributed “Bombs” to more than 500 citizens here at a small function held at the party headquarters at Thane.
Those present include the Thane and Palghar district, president Avinash Jadhav, and State leader Abhijit Panse.
The “Bomb” distributed was a ball made up of seeds of different fruits and vegetables with mud used in the manufacture and given the shape of the bomb.
The citizens are expected to place them at convenient places so that they get mixed up with the earth and give rise to plants, it was stated.
This novel idea has been initiated keeping in mind the environment requirements and need to grow more trees.
Talking to the media, the spokesman of the party Thane Unit Nainesh Patankar said it has been observed that any amount of persuasion of the people to take to tree plantation does not not have any result and hence we have come up with this idea.
In this, the citizens are just required to place the bomb like an object at a convenient place and this dissolves and spreads and gets mixed with the earth and with the help of the rainwater the plants grow and the benefit of the tree plantation and the environment can be reaped, he said.
