Mighty East Bengal held by Calcutta Customs in Cal League 0-0 at home

Kolkata, Aug 10 (UNI) Local giants East Bengal received a jolt in their quest for ninth consecutive championship when they were held by Calcutta Customs 0-0 in the Calcutta Football League for premier division at home ground today.
Poor shooting prowess and missed opportunities led the Red and Gold to share points with CC in a goalless draw in their third game.
Bastab Roy's side East Bengal had an opportunity early inside five minutes when Lalrindika Ralte received a long pass inside the box but the striker was caught by the referee for pushing rival defender Samuel Kane.
Office team Calcutta Customs had also a chance to score eight minute before first first break when striker Eze Stanley hoodwinked two EB players and unleashed a shot at goal from the edge of the box. Rakshit Dagar came to East Bengal's rescue as he pulled off a great save to
send the ball out for a corner.
