Meat shops closed in Kashmir while in some states liquor considered essential: Omar

Srinagar, Apr 13 (UNI) Reacting sharply to reports that liquor shops would open in some states during the lockdown period, former chief minister and National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah alleged that in Kashmir shops selling meat and essential supplies are not allowed to open while in some states even liquor factories are considered essential.
“National lockdown be damned! Booze must flow,” Mr Abdullah added.
“In Kashmir shops selling meat & essential supplies aren’t being allowed to open while in some states even liquor factories are considered essential to survival,” the former chief minister twitted.
