Maritime India Summit 2021 receives more than 1 lakh registration

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) Dr Sanjeev Ranjan, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, on Friday chaired the press briefing for the upcoming Maritime India Summit 2021, scheduled to happen from 2nd to 4th March 2021.
Maritime India Summit 2021 is receiving tremendous responses from the invited countries. India’s biggest maritime summit has received more than 1 lakh registration from cross the globe. Total 44 CEOs has confirmed participation, including 22 international and 22 national CEOs. Also, 79 speakers have confirmed their participation where 43 are international speakers and 36 are from India.
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways has created a compendium of 400 investable projects with an investment potential of INR 2.24 lakh crore (USO 31.07 Bn). These projects will provide investment opportunities across 11 maritime sectors including port infrastructure development, inland waterways transport and Coastal Shipping, Hinterland Connectivity and Multi-Modal Logistics. Additionally, more than 370 MOUs totaling to about INR 2.5 Lakh Crore of investments have been signed by various Ports, Agencies and Authorities of MoPSW.
