Manipur prepares for Durand cup

Imphal, Aug 16 (UNI) Manipur is all set to conduct the Durand Cup for the first time.
Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Tuesday inspected the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex and reviewed the arrangements taken up for the 131st edition of the Durand Cup, Asia's oldest football tournament, for which the inaugural match in the State will be played on August 18, 2022.
N. Biren Singh appreciated the officials of the Youth Affairs and Sports Department and Army personnel for working day and night to properly arrange the set up of the tournament.
