Maliwal to sit on hunger strike until Govt assures death penalty to rapists within six months

New Delhi, Dec 2 (UNI) Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal on Monday said that she will sit on an indefinite hunger strike beginning Tuesday morning at 1000 hours at Jantar Mantar demanding death penalty for rapists.
She has said that it was too much and it was high time the rapists should not be spared.
Maliwal said that she will continue her hunger strike until there is assurance given by the government at the Centre that the rapists will be served death penalty within a period of six months.
She said that what happened to a six year old and the Hyderabad veterinary doctor is heart wrenching.
