Magnitude 6.0 earthquake strikes near Philippines coast

Manila, Jan 22 (UNI/Sputnik) A 6.0 magnitude earthquake was registered on Saturday near the coast of the Philippines, the US Geological Survey said.
The tremor was recorded at 02:26 GMT, 231 kilometers (143 miles) southeast of the Sarangani Province that lies on the island of Mindanao. The epicenter was located at a depth of 24 kilometers.
There are no reports about any victims or damage caused by the earthquake.
