Lt Gen CP Mohanty takes charge of Sukna based Trishakti Corps of Indian Army

Siliguri, Aug 30 (UNI) Lieutenant General CP Mohanty on Thursday took over the command of Sukna based Trishakti Corps from Lieutenant General Pradeep M Bali.
General Mohanty is a June 82 batch infantry officer from the Rajput Regiment and is currently also the Colonel of the Rajput Regiment.
General Mohanty has vast operational experience along border with Pakistan and China and also in active counter insurgency operations in Jammu & Kashmir and Assam.
General Mohanty has led a multinational UN Brigade in Congo and has been military advisor to Government of Seychelles. The General Officer has been thrice decorated for his distinguished services in various operational assignments. He has an M Phil in Defence & Strategic Studies and holds a Masters in Management Studies having researched extensively on China and South Asia.
On the eve of taking over the reins of Trishakti Corps, the General Officer recalled the supreme sacrifice made by the gallant soldiers and exhorted all ranks to continue working with utmost zeal, enthusiasm & selflessness to protect the sovereignty of our great country in the best traditions of the Indian Army.
The outgoing Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Pradeep M Bali complimented all ranks of the Trishakti Corps for their unflinching commitment, dedication and devotion in accomplishing assigned tasks in an extremely challenging operational environment.
