LS discusses demands for grants under Railway Ministry till midnight

New Delhi, Jul 11 (UNI) Debate on demands for grants under the Ministry of Railways continued till midnight in Lok Sabha on Thursday with most of the members pressing demands of their respective parliamentary constituencies.
Taking part in the debate, BJP lawmaker Nishikant Dubey urged the Government that Railways should focus on Jharkhand.
He said tourism is a source of revenue generation. The BJP lawmaker said Paris, London and Singapore have moved forward on the basis of tourism.
The BJP lawmaker said there are big opportunities for tourism in Jharkhand due to the abundance of historical and natural sites.
Congress member Shashi Tharoor said Thiruvananthapuram-Madurai-Velankanni pilgrimage route
should get a new train.
BJP member Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur said there should be a direct train from Bhopal to Mumbai.
Congress member Gaurav Gogoi and BJP member Kirit Premjibhai Solanki also took part in the debate.
Railways Minister Piyush Goyal will give reply to the debate on Friday.
