Kotak Mutual Fund launches Kotak Pioneer Fund

Kolkata, Oct 9 (UNI) Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company (Kotak Mutual Fund) today announced the launch of ‘Kotak Pioneer Fund’.

The New Fund Offering (NFO) opens for subscription today and closes on October 23. This NFO seeks to identify innovators and pioneers with a sustainable long-term growth potential and with a competitive long-term advantage, according to a statement issued to UNI here.

The Kotak Pioneer Fund, which will be managed by Harish Krishnan, takes cognizance that business models are changing rapidly and companies that pioneer and better adapt to change, are more likely to succeed in future. It follows a structured investment process to identify such ‘pioneering companies’ on a framework. This fund will invest into companies that seek to benefit from newer forms of production, technology, distribution or processes that are likely to challenge existing markets or value networks, or displace established market leaders, or bring in novel products and/or business models.

Harish Krishnan, Senior VP & Equity Fund Manager at Kotak Mutual Fund said, “Kotak Pioneer Fund will follow a thematic approach of investing in companies that have a proven track record of multiple revenue streams, resulting in improved customer salience. The fund is diversified across sectors & stocks to achieve risk mitigation and provides diversification across geographies as well”.
