Kavach Z to help in preventing infiltration bid along borders

Kavach Z to help in preventing infiltration bid along borders

Leh, Sep 27 (UNI) In a bid to prevent infiltration from the Line of Control along the Pakistan border and the Line of Actual Control along the China border, a Delhi-based defence tech startup Cron Systems has launched its upgraded version of Kavach X – a perimeter security product that is already being used at the International Border with Pakistan and Nepal, while the newer product will be installed at the military-controlled line in Jammu & Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh.

Kavach Z is the upgraded version, which has the ability to see beyond the boundary. It provides a complete 360-degree situational awareness to the security forces by detecting object trying to enter into the Indian territory, away from 200 meter.

While launching the product, Cron Systems Founder and CEO Tushar Chhabra said, “Our aim is to secure country’s 15,000km long border, where our product can radically improve counter-insurgency measures. With its launch, we have moved much closer to our vision.”

It has also an ability to detect, track and classify objects and gives the security forces time to be ready to intercept and neutralize the threat, Mr Chhabra added.

On the occasion, the startup firm also launched Geosight, an advanced 3D scanner for surveillance and mapping that will give reliable results to the Army even in the extreme environmental conditions.

Depending on the need, it can be fixed on any assets – aerial or grounded. While interacting with the mediapersons, the founder said, “Everyday, over 2000 trucks move in the disturbed area. With fixing the system on each truck, we can get huge data and with received data, we can analyze the situation.”

Recently, Home Minister Rajnath Singh has inaugurated the smart border fencing pilot projects under the comprehensive integrated border management system (CIBMS) programme in Jammu for the Border Security Force (BSF).

India shares 2300-km of the international border with Pakistan. International border is a demarcated line recognized globally.

The company has deployed its product Kavach X at eight stretches on the international border. On being asked about the CIBMS and Kavach, he said, “For the implementation of CIBMS, it requires a huge infrastructure. While in the case of Kavach, the thing is not the same.”

For faster maintenance and repair, the company has also launched its three technological centres between Srinagar and Nubra valley.

The company was established in 2015 and is willing to invest about 2.5 million dollars in the next eight months, aiming to tap the defence IoT market.
