KAA signs partnership agreement with IETO & United States Sports Academy

Bengaluru, Feb 11 (UNI) Karnataka Athletic Association (KAA) President Muthappa Rai today said that the Association has signed partnership agreement with the Indian Economic Trade Organisation (IETO) and United States Sports Academy (USSA)--America's Sports University-- for continued education providing the framework for Athletic transformation.
Speaking after launching KAA Manifesto, towards vision 2020 here on Monday, he said that KAA policy on good governance will enable the Board, leaders, Athletes and District Associations to achieve their objective in the most effective ways, ensuring transparency, reporting and complying with a range of policies and practices to follow as a condition in the governance and structure.
Mr Rai said "I strongly believe in building strategic and sustainable development modules that resolves the situations in athletic management and leadership. I admit the pureness of our sport is something that we must treasure, promote and protect. Athletics must truly be a growing sport that reaches every corner of the State and nation and remain as an integral and premier sport of the country."
He said that "over the next decade I believe, we can and must grow the number of athletes for the State of Karnataka bringing glory and honour for the country, this will be my key objective and I want to ensure that, together we make this happen".
IETO President Mr Asif in his address said that " this collaboration will provide an excellent training support both theoretical and practical and international human resources to sustain the overall growth and development of Athletes, coaches, Administrators and officials."
The newly appointed KAA Chief Executive Officer Elvis Joseph, former athlete and Bangalore Schools Sports Foundation Director, said that " as a responsible athlete's individuals and citizens, we should be concerned towards positive development of creating a sporting culture. Promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle which is the need of the hour and by grooming young minds, that this aim can be achieved."
