JSW Cement invests in improving delivery time and customer operations in WB

Kolkata, Feb 14 (UNI) JSW Cement in a bid to improve customer operations and strengthen its eastern India markets has further invested in wagon tipplers to manage inbound logistics.
The company now owns a fleet of trucks to facilitate transportation of cement to its distributors across West Bengal. It has also dedicated railway rakes for ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and transportation of finished goods, thereby ensuring the quickest time from order to delivery. The company has also set up a captive power plant in Salboni to achieve better efficiency and uninterrupted power supply, said an official of the company.
Over the past year, JSW Cement has expanded its presence to serve customers across all the 23 districts of West Bengal with distribution network of 3700 dealers and retailers for its Salbony factory.
“Over the past year, we have catered to the requirements of all our customers in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Odisha through our manufacturing unit in Salboni. We are committed to these markets and are planning investments in capacity expansion and logistics and are strengthening our sales and after-sales service teams. We remain committed to delivering superior-quality, eco-friendly PSC cement to all our customers in a timely and efficient manner,” said zonal head Gautam Mukhopadhyay.
