Jio adds over 1.88 lakh new subscribers in Odisha in February: TRAI Data

Bhubaneswar, Apr 8 (UNI) Continuing its excellent march as the No. 1 digital service provider in Odisha, telecom major Reliance Jio has added the highest 1.88 lakh new mobile and home broadband subscribers in the state in the month of February 2026.
As per the latest telecom subscription data, released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), over 1.74 lakh new mobile subscribers and over 13,600 new home broadband subscribers joined the Jio network in Odisha, in February. In fact, Jio added nearly four times more new subscribers in Odisha in February than its nearest competitor.
With this, Jio has further consolidated its market leadership in the wireless, wireline and FWA segments in Odisha, with the highest 1.75 crore mobile subscribers, 3.66 lakh JioFiber subscribers and 3.63 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers. Driving digital inclusion in thousands of villages across the rural hinterlands of Odisha, Jio has made high-speed broadband connectivity available at their doorsteps.
As per the data, in the wireless segment, Reliance Jio added the highest 1,74,810 new mobile subscribers followed by a distant second Airtel with 46,192 new mobile subscribers and Vodafone Idea with 17,067 new mobile subscribers this month, whereas BSNL lost 5,532 mobile subscribers during this period. The total mobile subscribers base in Odisha increased by over 2.32 lakhs in February and crossed 3.77 crores as of 28 February 2026.
As per TRAI data, nationally, Jio added over 16.24 lakh new wireless subscribers, 1.17 lakh new wireline (JioFiber) subscribers and over 3.41 lakh new FWA (JioAirFiber) subscribers in the month of February.
