Jammu Police launches crackdown on illegal sand mining, seizes trolleys

Jammu, Dec 24 (UNI) Tightening noose against sand mafia operational in Tawi area and many other adjoining streams, police on Monday seized many trolleys in violation to High Court PIL no 19 of 2012 against illegal extraction of sand .
Police spokesman here said that from the last few days many raids were been conducted by different squads of police in which more than 50 trolleys were seized under different sections of law.
He said that the drive is being conducted intensively and will be consistent in coming days seeking public cooperation.
