Jammu Crime Branch registers FIR against three fraudsters

Jammu, Oct 9 (UNI) The sleuths of Jammu Crime Branch on Wednesday registered a criminal case against three fraudsters, including a couple from Punjab, for allegedly stealing money of the complainants by using an online application.
As per official spokesman, the case was registered against the fraudsters, who was identified as Gagan Arora of Prem Nagar Majitha Road, Amritsar, Punjab, Manpreet Kour and Vishal Goyal of Shubham Enclave Dayal Bagh Balkeshwar, Agra Kiraoli, UP, for allegedly duping the complainant one Sader-Ud Din Zargar of district Ramban of his hard money to the tune of Rs 4, 13, 450 by using the application after stealing his phone.
He added that the complainant lodged a complainant in Crime Branch, Jammu, to the effect that while he was travelling back to his home on April 17 from Delhi to Jammu by Train, Kota UHP Express after performing Umrah, he found that his mobile phone was missing.
“The mobile phone contained two SIM cards besides his personal information including the Application and on reaching Railway Station, Jammu, he lodged a missing report in Police Station Railway, Jammu,” he added.
However, the complainant procured duplicate SIM Card and when he inserted the SIM card in a cell phone he received a number of messages relating to Bank transactions of his Account No of J&K Bank Gool, District Ramban, which revealed fraudulent transfer of his hard earned money from his Bank Account to the tune of Rs 4, 13, 450 through his net banking app.
“On the basis of the complaint, Crime Branch team took cognizance and initiated an enquiry and established that the complainant was actually duped of his money by the fraudsters after stealing his mobile phone and using his vital information stored in the phone,” he said and added that a case has been registered and the investigation has been set in motion.
