Panaji, Nov 19 (UNI) Julien Landais, Director of The Aspern Papers, opening film of the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Monday said that it was an honour for him to be in India to present his film.
Addressing a press conference at Entertainment Society of Goa, the main venue of IFFI 2018, he said, 'It is a real honour for me to be in India to present my film at this prestigious festival. My film is an adaptation of a famous novella by Henry James, which is set in Venice in the late 19th century.'
He said he felt like it was the right subject for his first feature and fit in the incredible actors to embody the special characters.
'So I’m very happy to be here with my team,” he said.
The 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will open with the World Premiere of ‘The Aspern Papers’ with international star cast on Tuesday.
Julien Landais is a French actor and director born on August 6, 1981. He spent his childhood immersing himself in learning about European history and art. He has directed short films, fashion films, commercials and music videos starring prominent actors, fashion icons and models and has collaborated with major fashion brands and jewellers to create unique looks for his films that are featured on prestigious fashion magazine platforms. He created his own production company Princeps Films. The Aspern Papers is his debut feature film.
