Indian Naval Symphonic Band exhibits splendid performance

Panaji, Apr 24 (UNI) Continuing its Musical odyssey post Kala Academy, Panaji, the Indian Naval Symphonic Band exhibited another splendid performance for the first time on April 21, 2019, at Tilak Maidan Stadium, Vasco.
The crowd from all over Goa were present at the venue to be a part of an amazing evening, which commenced with an hour of the 60 musician repertoire of classical and martial music followed by the Navy Jazz band jamming with six of Goa's finest musicians. They played popular Pop, Rock and Konkani numbers to a spellbound audience. The symphony orchestra was conducted by Commander VC D’ Cruz, a Goan and an alumnus of Trinity College of Music, London. The 66 Naval musicians and six outstanding Goan musicians gave an amazing performance foot tapping Goan music.
The Indian Naval Band commenced the musical show with Colonel Bougey March followed by the fanfare of beautiful combination of Martial Music, Symphonies, overtones and other forms of contemporary genres. The audience was enthralled by the sheer variety of repertoire and the phenomenal talent of the naval musicians. In the past also the Indian Naval Band has regaled and impressed audiences across the country and around the globe on numerous occasion. They performed the famous songs of Asha Bhosle and Kishore Kumar Piya Tu Ab To Aaja and Jaane Jaan Dhoondta.

Pune, April 24(UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal; at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Assam and Meghalaya; at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. These were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.5°C was reported at Anantapur (Rayalaseema) over the country.
