New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI): The Centre expects to achieve 2.5 crore vaccinations by COVID-19 vaccines on Friday after India broke its record of single-day vaccination in the day, sources at Union Health Ministry said.
The country had administered 1.38 crore COVID-19 jabs till 2:59 pm, shattering its previous record of 1.33 crore vaccinations in a day that it achieved on August 31.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sought to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 71'st birthday on Friday historic by administering a record Covid-19 vaccine doses.
