ICC Women's T20 WC: India beat New Zealand by 4 runs, enter semifinals

Melbourne, Feb 27 (UNI) India beat New Zealand by four runs in a thrilling contest to cement a semifinal berth in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020, here on Thursday.
With this win, India, sit at the top of their Group A with 6 points from 3 matches.
This is India's victory in a row in the ongoing tournament. Earlier, India had registered 17 and 18-run victories against defending champions Australia and Bangladesh respectively.
Put in to bat, India posted a below-par total of 133-8 in 20 overs. Opener Shafali top-scored with a 34-ball 46, while Taniya Bhatia also made a valuable contribution with a 25-ball 23 for India.
In reply, New Zealand were restricted to 129/6 in 20 overs. Amelia Kerr was the top scorer for New Zealand with an unbeaten 19 ball with 34.
Opener Shafali Verma was given the Player of the Match award for her brilliance with the bat.
