Hoteliers meet Jammu DC, demands early start of rope way, helicopter service between Katra-Shiv Khori

Jammu, July 18 (UNI) A delegation of Katra hoteliers on Wednesday called on Jammu Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma and demanded early start of ropeway and helicopter service between Katra-Shriv Khori cave shrine in Katra town of Reasi district.
A delegation of Hotel and Restaurant Association, Katra led by its president Rakesh Wazir, apprised Mr Verma of issues pertaining to Katra Vaishnodevi and Shiv Khori Shrine and requested him that the Helicopter service between Katra-Shiv Khori-Katra and ropeway between Ransoo-Shiv Khori be started at the earliest which in addition to a big facility to the pilgrims will prove to be a big attraction to the pilgrims and will boost the Shiv Khori Yatra in a big way and economy of state as well.
Mr Wazir said that the way the Yatra of Shiv Khori has increased in few years itself shows that this pilgrim destination has got lot of potential and if its facilities are increased further it could go beyond 50 lakh within few years and requested for consolidated efforts for that.
