High reaches experiences snowfall in Himachal, more rain, hailstorm, snowfall forecast

Shimla, Mar 25 (UNI) High reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced snowfall and down streams were lashed by rainfall in last 24 hrs with the Met Office forecasting more rain, hailstorm and snowfall during the next two days.
The inclement weather prolonged in the state as Keylong in Lahaul Spiti got eight cm snowfall and Kothi one cm.
Rohtang Pass, Lady of Keylong, Seven Sister's hill and Goshal hills of Lahaul Spiti, Kinner and Srikhand Kailash of Kinnaur, Chanshal and Churdhar of Shimla district, Dauldhar ranges and Shikari Devi of Mandi reported fresh spell of snowfall.
Jandutta in Bilaspur had 45 mm rainfall, Kothi in Lahaul Spiti 27 mm, Banajar in Kullu 26 mm, Manali-24 mm, Bijahi of Mandi 23 mm, Saharan, Jubbal & Kumarsain of Shimla 22 mm each, Bharamaur in Chamba 20 mm, Sundernagar in Mandi 19 mm, Nainadevi in Bilaspur, Rampur in Shimla, Wangtoo in Kinnaur & Janjheli in Mandi 18 mm each.
Bilaspur 16 mm, Kalpa in Kinnaur 15 mm, Palampur, Dehra Gopipur in Kangra, Dalhousie in Chamba, Ghumarwin in Bilaspur & Karsog in Shimla 14 mm each, Seabagh in Kullu 13 mm, Barsar in Hamirpur & Pandoh in Mandi 12 mm each, Una, Nadaun in Hamirpur, Kufri & Shimla-11 mm each, Mashobra, Ghamroor in Kangra & Kahu in Hamirpur 10 mm each.
Met Office forecast widespread rainfall on Mar 27 in the state issuing warning of Heavy rain or thunderstorms accompanied with hail, lightning and gusty winds with the speed of thirty to four kilometres per hours likely to occur at isolated places in the mid and foothills.

Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus one degree, Kalpa 0.6 degree and 2.6 degrees down of yesterday, Kufri 3.2 degrees, Dalhousie 6.8 degrees, Shimla and Bhuntar seven degrees, Dharmshala 8.2 degrees, Chamba 8.7 degrees and Palampur and Solan nine degrees.
Manali 9.2 degrees, Sundernagar 9.9 degrees Kangra ten degrees, Hamirpur 10.8 degrees, Mandi and Bilaspur eleven degrees, Una 12.2 degrees and Nahan 14.3 degrees, respectively.

COVID-19 toll in HP increases to two
