Heavy rain alert issued in MP

Bhopal, Aug 13 (UNI) The India Meteorological Department sounded an ‘isolated yet intense precipitation’ warning – effective for the next 24 hours – in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar, Damoh, Tikamgarh, Panna, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Satna, Singrauli, Datia, Guna, Ashoknagar, Sheopur, Morena, Umaria, Dindori, Jabalpur, Katni, Mandla, Balaghat, Khandwa, Harda, Hoshangabad, Dewas, Sehore, Vidisha and Raisen districts.
“Numerous places in the state received substantial rainfall on Tuesday owing to a low-pressure area existent over the Bay of Bengal and Odisha. The figures include Sagar 68 mm, Damoh 67, Pachmarhi 27, Rewa 24, Naugaon 19 and Satna 5 mm,” senior meteorologist Uday Sarwate told UNI here.
