Haryana announces Rs 13.47 cr reward for Commonwealth Games 2026 medal winners

Panchkula, Aug 5 (UNI) Haryana has unveiled a ₹13.47-crore cash reward package for its medal winners and participants at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026, once again proving itself as a powerhouse and passionate supporter of India's sporting excellence.
The grand state-level felicitation ceremony is set for August 7 at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula, where Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will honour the athletes with generous cash awards and certificates of recognition.
State Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam praised Haryana's athletes for once again shining on the international stage, clinching 10 medals at the Commonwealth Games, including a remarkable haul of 7 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze.
